67-year-old man injured in downtown Brownsville crash

BROWNSVILLE, TX – A man was injured as the result of a tw0-vehicle collision near downtown Brownsville earlier this month.

The April 20th crash took place shortly after 6 p.m. in the 1000 block of East 14th Street, near the intersection with East Jackson Avenue.

Responding officers say the 45-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2013 Nissan was traveling at a high rate of speed when his vehicle collided with the rear of a 2008 Ford.

The man in the at-fault vehicle was unhurt. However, the 67-year-old man behind the wheel of the Ford sustained unknown injuries in the crash.
