Baby run over after falling out of car, dies

IRVING, TX – A baby died after it fell out of a moving car and was ran over by a driver Sunday, KRGV reports.

The mother was driving in a vehicle occupied by five children, none of which were secured in child-safety seats when she made a left turn, which caused the rear passenger door to open and an 8-month-old child to fall out.

A driver, who may not have seen the baby, did not stop after it ran over the child.

Following the accident, the mother and another driver stopped and attempted to revive the baby.

Police urge anyone with information concerning the incident to contact them.

The exact location in Irving where the accident happened is unclear at this time.
