Bexar County deputy dies in crash with 18-wheeler near Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – According to KIIITV, Bexar County deputy Noah Calderon and his fiancee were killed last night in a crash with an 18-wheeler near Corpus Christi.

The accident took place at the intersection of TX-188 and FM 796. Calderon and his fiancee were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, his younger brother was airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

It seems that the crash was caused by the truck failing to yield, causing it to hit Calderon’s vehicle.

Calderon was one of the youngest hires made by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department.
