Brownsville police respond to hit-and-run collision on Austin Rd.

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Officers were called to the scene of a hit-and-run collision in a northeast Brownsville intersection earlier this month.

The accident took place on April 5th at about 4:52 p.m. within the 5000 block of Austin Road near the intersection with Zena Drive.

Police believe the unidentified driver of a Ford failed to yield the right of way to a 2016 Chevrolet, causing the two vehicles to collide head-on. The driver in the at-fault vehicle immediately fled the scene of the crash.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of last Monday’s Brownsville hit-and-run crash.
