Brownsville woman injured following rear-end collision on SH-48

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Police in Brownsville responded to a two-vehicle collision in which one woman was injured as a result last Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened along Boca Chica Boulevard just west of the intersection with Kings Highway at about 3:18 p.m.

Investigators believe the driver of a 2014 Chevrolet, a 37-year-old woman, backed up when it was unsafe to do and collided with a 2016 Toyota.

The 53-year-old woman in Toyota did sustain injuries as a result of the crash. Details regarding the extent of her injuries remain unknown at this time.
