Bystander pulls driver out of burning car

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to Fox San Antonio, a bystander pulled a suspected drunk driver out of a burning car early this morning.

The incident took place around 2:30 a.m. this morning, near the intersection of Loop 1604 and Lockhill-Selma Road.

Police say a speeding driver rear-ended a dump truck, causing his car to light on fire. A stranger then pulled the driver out of the burning vehicle. The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police suspect the driver may have been under the influence during the crash and he may face DWI charges.
