Car strikes multiple children on their way to school bus on Somerset Rd

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A vehicle collided with multiple children on the 900 block of Somerset Rd Friday morning, News 4 San Antonio reports.

The three children were on their way to a Palo Alto Elementary school bus when at least two of them were hit by a car around 6:50 a.m. First responders transported a 14-year-old girl with a broken leg to an area hospital. They also took a 4-year-old girl to the hospital as a precaution.

According to police, the driver stopped and remained at the scene after the wreck. Officers believe poor lighting in the area may have been a contributing factor in the incident.
