CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department responded to the scene of a rear-end collision near I-37 Saturday morning.
The accident occurred at about 9:53 a.m. within the 2900 block of McKinzie Road near the intersection with Mobile Drive.
Police say the 60-year-old male driver of a 2004 Chevrolet was traveling at a high rate of speed when his vehicle collided with the rear of a 2019 Mitsubishi.
Fortunately, no occupant in either vehicle, including two small children in the Mitsubishi was injured in the crash.
