SAN ANTONIO, NV – A girl and a woman died after the vehicles they were occupying were swept into Martinez Creek by floodwaters created by Hurricane Pamela Thursday, CBS reports.

The two vehicles were on their way to drop off children at an elementary school when the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. The girl was in the car driven by a male. Two boys also occupied that vehicle. The woman was driving a car with two boys as passengers.

First responders were able to rescue the adult male and the boys Thursday. The remains of the woman, who was 52, and the five-year-old girl were found Friday.
