Corpus Christi home destroyed in early-morning fire

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Investigators are looking into the cause of a residential fire that left a home completely destroyed early Thursday morning.

According to KRIS, the fire was reported at about 4 a.m. at home near the intersection of McArdle Road and Kostoryz Road, just north of South Padre Island Drive.

Firefighters worked for nearly a half-hour to knock down the blaze. Eventually, the roof collapsed in on the home, leaving it as a total loss.

Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the blaze.
