Crash reported on San Benito Bridge

SAN BENITO, TX – Authorities with the San Benito Police Department reported a multi-vehicle crash on the West Stenger Street bridge Saturday afternoon.

The accident was reported around 12:20 on the west side of the bridge near the intersection of West Stenger Street and Freddy Fender Lane.

Police believe the 75-year-old male driver of a 1992 Chevrolet failed to check before changing lanes and collided with the front driver’s side door of a 2006 Chevrolet.

No injuries were reported as an immediate result of the crash.
