Deputy constable found to be at fault in Corpus Christi crash

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Investigators believe that a deputy constable was at fault for a Sunday-night accident he blamed on another driver.

According to KIII, the accident occurred within the intersection of Staples Street and Everhart Road. Police say the deputy ran a red light and collided with another vehicle within the intersection.

The deputy constable initially reported via Facebook that the other driver involved in the crash was at fault and then fled the scene. Further investigation proved that the driver did not flee, and that the deputy was at fault.

Injuries were reported as a result of the crash. However, the identities of those injured have not yet been released.
