Driver arrested following police chase through multiple counties

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KSAT12, a driver has been arrested after leading police on a chase through four counties.

The chase began on I-35 when Bexar County Police stopped the suspect for driving erratically, swerving recklessly, and cutting off semi-trucks. The driver stopped but sped off once police exited their vehicle.

The chase went on for about 30 miles, going through Bexar, Atascosa, and Medina Counties before ending in Frio County. Police say that at one point the suspect attempted to hit a police car with his vehicle.

The driver was arrested when he exited his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot in a wooded area. Police used a helicopter to track the suspect.

Details about the suspect, such as his name or criminal record, have not been released at this time.
