SAN ANTONIO, TX – A driver has been charged with intoxication assault following a crash on an I-35 service road, reports KSAT12. The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. yesterday near the I-35 exit to Splashtown.
A 27-year-old driver was exiting the Motel 6 parking lot when his Ford Fusion was hit by a fast-moving Mercedes Benz. The Mercedes rolled over several times and both vehicles were knocked into the grass near the roadway.
The Ford’s driver was transported to Brooke Army Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Mercedes was also hospitalized and has been charged with intoxication assault by proxy.
