Driver collides with, injures pedestrian on Vance Jackson Rd

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A driver struck a pedestrian crossing the street on the 2000 block of Vance Jackson Rd Wednesday, KSAT reports.

The driver of a Chrysler was heading north on Vance Jackson Rd when he saw the 25-year-old male pedestrian. The driver attempted to swerve to miss the pedestrian but struck him outside a marked crosswalk around 7:20 p.m.

Following the collision, the driver pulled over to render aid. First responders were called to the scene and they transported the victim to University Hospital in stable condition.

Police have not charged the driver for the accident. They say the streetlights where the crash happened were not on and the victim was wearing dark clothes, making it difficult for drivers to see him.
