Driver escapes from wreckage before car catches fire

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A woman was able to free herself from the wreckage of a single-vehicle collision before it caught fire, escaping with only minor injuries.

KSAT reports that the crash happened in the 1200 block of Agora Palms Drive, just northwest of the Highway 281/FM 1604 intersection, just after midnight Monday. The woman lost control of the vehicle she was driving, which slammed into a guardrail and pinned her inside.

Fortunately, she was able to pull herself from the wreck before it caught fire. Emergency responders took her to a nearby hospital as a precaution.

Further investigations are ongoing.
