Driver fatally collides with electrical pole on E Richardson Rd

EDINBURG, TX – A driver died after crashing into a pole on the 3600 block of E Richardson Rd Sunday, Valley Central reports.

A 23-year-old male was driving a Toyota Camry on westbound Richardson Rd when he struck the electrical pole around 3 a.m.

First responders transported the victim to an area hospital, where he later died. A toxicology report is being conducted to determine if he was impaired at the time of the crash.

Authorities will release the victim’s name once his next of kin have been notified.
