Driver fatally collides with metal barrier on US Hwy 90

SAN ANTONIO, TX – KSAT reports that a man died following a fiery, single-vehicle collision on the 1400 block of US Hwy 90 Saturday.

According to police, the victim was speeding on the highway without headlights when he attempted to change lanes and crashed into the barrier around 10:50 p.m.

The impact caused the vehicle to burst into flames. A driver pulled over and put out the fire with their portable fire extinguisher.

First responders pronounced the driver dead when they arrived at the crash site.

Nobody else was injured in the incident.
