EDINBURG, TX – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle somewhere on US 281 Tuesday, according to Valley Central.
The driver of a pickup truck with multiple passengers was fleeing from U.S. Border Patrol when he lost control of his vehicle and came to a stop in the center median.
One occupant of the truck, Jesus Adrian Alvarado, 22, was struck by a northbound vehicle as he exited the vehicle. Alvarado died at the scene.
The incident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
