Driver flees after collision on Canton Rd. in Edinburg

EDINBURG, TX – Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a hit-and-run collision in Edinburg late last month.

The April 24th crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. within the 6400 block of East Canton Road, near the intersection with San Nicolas Street.

Investigators believe the unidentified driver of a black Chevrolet failed to yield the right of way to a 2020 GMC and crashed into the rear passenger’s side of the GMC.

Luckily, no injuries were reported as a direct result of the crash.
