Driver flees following rear-end collision on Ayers St. in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Officers in Corpus Christi responded to the scene of a suspected hit-and-run collision near a busy shopping center last week.

The April 7th crash occurred at about 9:10 p.m. within the 3200 block of Ayers Street just outside of the Corpus Christi Wholesale Mart.

The accident happened when the driver of an unspecified dark-colored vehicle collided with the rear of a 2010 Kia at a high rate of speed. The individual in the at-fault vehicle left the scene before authorities arrived.

Luckily, both occupants in the Kia, including a 6-year-old child, were unhurt.
