Driver hurt after attempting to avoid wild animal on I-69E

BROWNSVILLE, TX – A man was injured after a collision involving a wild animal along I-69E last Monday night.

The accident occurred at about 8:17 p.m. along the interstate near the Stillman Road overpass.

Police say the 26-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2012 Ford swerved to avoid striking a wild animal in the roadway and collided head-on with a fixed object.

Fortunately, the driver was not injured in the crash. No other vehicles were involved.
