Driver injured after police chase on Main St in Lytle

LYTLE, TX – A driver was injured when he crashed into a utility pole following a police chase on Main St in Lytle last Thursday, Devin News reports.

The incident began when a DPS trooper attempted to pull over a Mazda CX-7 for a traffic violation on I-35 in Frio County. The suspect did not pull over, causing police to chase him through Natalia and into Lytle.

Around the 14000 block of Main St, the suspect lost control of their vehicle plowed into the utility pole. Six adult males fled on foot following the crash. Police apprehended three of them.  They all refused medical treatment.

Emergency crews transported the driver to University Hospital. His current condition is unknown.
