Driver injured following single-vehicle DWI crash in Edinburg

EDINBURG, TX – Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety say one man was injured following a suspected DWI crash on New Year’s Day.

The accident occurred along Farm to Market Road 2812 just west of the intersection with Sunflower Lane at about 8:30 a.m.

Police say the 31-year-old driver of a 1995 Ford was under the influence when he failed to maintain a single lane and rolled his vehicle in the roadway. The unidentified man was reportedly injured as a result of the crash. However, the extent of his injures remains unknown.

It is unclear whether he will face charges in connection to the accident at this time.
