SAN ANTONIO, TX — A San Antonio driver crashed into a pole on Saturday. The accident killed him.
According to KSAT, the man was driving down West Commerce Street late at night in San Antonio when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle. He first sped up drastically before crossing several lanes of traffic. He then veered off of the road where he collided with a pole on the side of the road. The accident proved fatal for the driver. When police arrived on the scene they found that the man had two gunshot wounds in his thigh. The connection between the accident and these injuries remains unknown.

Police say that the driver was the only person injured in the crash. They are still investigating the cause of the accident, but have ruled out alcohol as a factor.
