SAN ANTONIO, TX – A driver hit a pedestrian as he was attempting to cross the street at Prue Rd and Babcock Rd Wednesday, Fox San Antonio reports.
At around 7:30 p.m., the driver of a Toyota Corolla was stopped at a stoplight on Babcock Rd waiting to turn left. She made the turn once the light turned to a green arrow. The victim, a 63-year-old male, crossed the street against a “no crossing” symbol on the sidewalk and was then hit by the driver.
Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene and provided aid to the victim. First responders transported the victim to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police do not believe impairment was a factor in the accident.
