Early morning trucking accident reported on SH-48

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Officials with the Brownsville Police Department responded to a trucking collision in northeast Brownsville last Thursday morning.

The collision occurred on SH-48 at North Minnesota Avenue shortly before 7:00 a.m. Police believe the 29-year-old male driver of a 2006 Jeep attempted to pass a 2011 Peterbilt tractor-trailer in the shoulder and ended up colliding with the truck.

Neither the driver of the Jeep nor the two male occupants in the truck were injured as a result of the collision.
