BOERNE, TX – Two people were injured when a plane crashed in a wooded area behind a home near the intersection of Boerne Stage Rd and Bridlewood Trail Saturday afternoon, according to KSAT.
At around 3 p.m., a family saw the plane go down and rushed to help the victims. They initially had trouble finding the crash site due to the density of cedar trees in the area. They eventually located the wreckage and the victims, a middle-aged man and a woman.
The victims were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. It is unclear who transported the victims to the hospital, the paramedics, or the family that found them.
Officials have not yet released the name of the victims. The family who helped them wishes to remain anonymous.
