MCALLEN, TX – A woman reportedly suffered injuries after falling asleep behind the wheel and crashing her vehicle near I-2 in McAllen last weekend.
The May 2nd crash took place just after 10 a.m. within the 600 block of East Ridge Road, just west of the intersection with South McColl Road.
Responding officers say the 32-year-old woman behind the wheel of a 2005 Honda was fatigued or asleep when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed head-on with a fixed object.
The woman sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved.
