SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KSAT, a woman collided with a semi-truck after falling asleep at the wheel on I-35 near Eisenhower Rd Tuesday.
After the collision, the woman’s vehicle rolled over and caught on fire. It was fully engulfed in flames by the time first responders arrived around 4:30 a.m. The woman was able to escape the inferno with minor injuries.
The semi-truck did not stop following the crash. Police believe they could have been aware they were struck.
An onlooker driving an SUV rear-ended a pickup truck while the firefighters were extinguishing the vehicle fire. The condition of the people involved in that incident is unclear.
