Fire destroys home near downtown San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO – Officials with the San Antonio Police Department are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a house near downtown late Monday night.

According to News 4 SA, the incident was reported shortly after 11:30 p.m. within the 300 block of East Euclid Avenue near the intersection with Baltimore Avenue.

Firefighters noticed the blaze pouring from the roof and beginning to spread to other buildings. However, they were able to get it under control within an hour.

Luckily, the house was abandoned at the time of the fire. No injuries have been reported as a result.
