Fire erupts at Corpus Christi middle school

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Firefighters in Corpus Christi responded to a structural fire at a local middle school early Thursday morning.

According to KIII, the fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. at Hamlin Middle School near South Pope Park.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly before it could cause any significant damage or injuries. The building was deemed safe for use in the hours following the blaze.
