Firefighters rescue man with leg injury from train at Quintana Rd and Southcross Blvd

SAN ANTONIO, TX – An immigrant believed to be from Honduras was hospitalized with a leg injury after he became stuck in a train, News 4 San Antonio reports.

Firefighters responded to the intersection of Quintana Rd and Southcross Blvd after dispatchers traced a call they received around 1 a.m. concerning a man on a train in need of assistance.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, three men told them that another man was stuck. Firefighters used specialized equipment to free the man once the train stopped in Kirby at FM 78 and Buzz Aldrin Dr. The man was then taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Officials think the men were from Honduras and they believe they boarded the train in Mexico.
