Ford rear-ends Mercedes near San Antonio’s Quarry Golf Course

SAN ANTONIO, TX – SAPD responded to a rear-end collision near The Quarry Golf Course on Sunday evening.

The accident took place on April 11th just after 5 p.m. along East Basse Road north of the intersection with Jones Maltsberger Road.

Officers say the 60-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2005 Ford was speeding when he failed to stop in time for a 2016 Mercedes-Benz that was stopped at a red light. The Ford then collided head-on with the rear of hate Mercedes.

Fortunately, neither the man in the Ford nor the two occupants in the Mercedes were injured in the crash.
