High-speed police chase end in crash near Mathis

MATHIS, TX – According to KIIITV, a high-speed police chase ended in a crash on I-37 near Mathis.

The pursuit began on Monday on I-37 in Mathis, continued through Corpus Christi and Portland, before ending on I-37 near Mathis. Jonathan C. Boutwell, the 41-year-old motorist who led authorities on the chase, crashed when police deployed spikes to stop his vehicle.

Police arrested Boutwell, although it is currently unclear what charges he will face.
