CAMERON, TX – Officials with the Brownsville Police Department responded to a multi-vehicle hit-and-run collision on FM 1847 near the Palo Alto Battlefield National Historic Park Monday.
The crash occurred on Texas State Route 550 near the Paredes Line Road overpass just before 6:30 p.m. when the unknown driver of a 2001 Mercury collided with the rear of a 2015 Ford.
The driver of the Mercury left the scene before authorities arrived. Both occupants in the Ford, a 21-year-old man and 24-year-old woman, did not sustain injuries as a result of the crash.
