Hit-and-run collision reported near St. Andrews Park

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Investigators with the Corpus Christi Police Department are searching for the individual responsible for a multi-vehicle collision on South Staples Street last Tuesday evening.

The collision was reported within the 5900 block of S. Staples St. near the intersection with Wooldridge Road at about 6:48 p.m.

Police say the unknown driver of a red vehicle failed to control their speed and collided with the rear of a 2016 Ford driven by a 69-year-old woman.

The woman was not injured as a direct result of the crash. However, the driver responsible for the crash fled the scene. No further details regarding their identity have been made available.
