Hit-and-run collision reported on Guelker Rd.

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a hit-and-run collision just south of Russeltown last Thursday night.

The incident occurred at about 8:48 p.m. near the intersection of Guelker Road and Barreda Garden Road, when the driver of an unknown vehicle traveled through the stop sign and was struck by a 2017 Cadillac.

The driver in the unknown vehicle fled the scene before authorities arrived. Both of the Cadillac’s occupants—a 38-year-old man and woman—were uninjured as a result of the crash.
