Hit-and-run collision reported on SH-358

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Investigators with the Corpus Christi Police Department are looking to identify the driver responsible for a serious hit-and-run collision on SH-358 early Sunday morning.

The crash was reported in the westbound lanes of SH-358 near the exit to Ayers Street and SH-286 interchange shortly before 3:30 a.m.

Police say the unknown driver changed lanes when it was unsafe and collided with the front end of a 2019 Dodge driven by a 32-year-old man. The suspect immediately fled the scene of the crash.

Fortunately, the other driver was uninjured in the collision. However, his vehicle sustained significant damage as a result.
