Hit-and-run driver strikes car, injures 2 near Highland Park

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A hit-and-run driver injured two people when they collided with another vehicle at Steves Ave and New Braunfels Ave Saturday.

According to KSAT, the driver of a white van heading east on Steves Ave ran a red light at the intersection with New Braunfels Ave and rear-ended a Kia Soul, sending it into a pole.

First responders transported the 41-year-old female driver and the 15-year-old male passenger to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Following the collision, the van driver fled the scene. Authorities will charge them with two counts of failure to stop and render aid when they are located.
