SAN ANTONIO, TX – A truck driver struck and critically injured a bicyclist on Fran Fran near S Zarzamora St on Monday, KSAT reports.
Police say the suspect was driving either a dump truck when it ran over the bicyclist, who is believed to be in his 50’s or 60’s. The victim and his bicycle became lodged underneath the truck and were dragged for about 30 ft.
The suspect briefly stopped after the collision but then fled the scene.
A witness to the incident called 911. Emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, including open wounds to his head and limbs.
