ALTON, TX – Police in Alton were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision east of downtown late Monday night.
The accident occurred at about 11:15 p.m. within the 2800 block of East Main Avenue near the intersection with North Linda Street.
Officers say the 19-year-old woman behind the wheel of a 2010 Nissan was inattentive to the roadway when she was struck by a 2008 Chevrolet.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as an immediate result of the crash.
