Injuries reported after 3-vehicle collision in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Investigators with the Brownsville Police Department are looking into the cause of a crash that injured one person on Boca Chica Boulevard Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Boca Chica Boulevard and I-69E at about 11:51 a.m. Police believe the 18-year-old female driver of a 2009 Volkswagen failed to control her speed and collided with a 2013 Ford driven by a 27-year-old man. The driver of the Ford suffered non-incapacitating injuries as a result of the crash.

An official investigation into the collision is likely underway. The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
