Injuries reported in single-vehicle crash on Staples St.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Officials with the Corpus Christi Police Department have reported one injury as the result of a single-vehicle crash on Staples Street Monday morning.

The incident was reported at about 11:45 a.m. within the 8600 block of Staples St. near the South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center. Police at the scene say the 31-year-old female driver of a 2016 Ford failed to control her speed when negotiating a turn and collided with a fixed object.

The woman, who was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash, was injured as a result. Details regarding the extent of her injuries have not yet been released.
