Injury reported following 3-vehicle rear-end collision in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, TX – One man was injured as the result of a chain-reaction crash involving three vehicles just north of Cameron Park Tuesday evening.

The accident occurred just after 7 p.m. at the intersection of Dr. Hugh Emerson Road and Cavazos Road.

Police believe the 28-year-old male driver of a 2001 Jeep was speeding when he failed to notice stopped traffic in front of him and collided with the rear of a 2005 Buick. The initial impact forced the Buick into the rear of a 2014 Land Rover.

The driver in the Buick, a 27-year-old man, was reportedly injured as a result of the crash. Details regarding the extent of his injuries remain unknown at this time.
