Injury reported following suspected DWI collision in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – An Ingleside man was seriously injured as the result of a suspected DWI accident along Highland Avenue early Monday morning.

The accident occurred just before 2 a.m. near the intersection with West Main Street when the 61-year-old male driver of a 2001 GMC collided with a fixed object in the roadway at a high rate of speed.

Police believe the driver had been drinking prior to the accident occurring. The man reportedly sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. No further information with regard to his condition has been released at this time.
