Loop 1604 closed after major far southeast San Antonio crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Commuters on San Antonio’s far southeast side were met with delays resulting from a major collision early Tuesday afternoon.

According to Total Traffic San Antonio, the accident took place shortly before 1:30 p.m. within the eastbound lanes of the freeway, between I-37 and Priest Road.

The cause of the crash and the number of vehicles involved are unclear at this time. However, this situation is still developing.

No injuries have been reported as a direct result of the collision.

Motorists have been advised to proceed with caution in the area as delays are likely into late Tuesday afternoon.
