Man charged with DWI after crashing into cemetery

VICTORIA, TX – According to KAVU, a man was charged with DWI after crashing his car into a cemetery Monday morning.

Police say the accident happened at Resurrection Cemetery just before noon. According to authorities, a 30-year-old man crashed his white truck into a fence and struck several headstones.

Shortly before the incident, officers had spotted the suspect driving recklessly at 1200 N. Navarro Street.

The suspect was transported to Victoria County Jail and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Cemetery employees had cleaned the cemetery by Monday afternoon.
