SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man had to be cut out of his vehicle following a major collision along Loop 1604 late Wednesday night.
According to KSAT, the accident took place at about 11:45 p.m. within the 8000 block of Loop 1604, just before the Babcock Road overpass.
Police say the driver of a 2009 Nissan Armada, a man in his 30s, failed to maintain a single lane and struck the rear corner of a Ford pickup truck. The Nissan then veered off the roadway and down into an embankment before coming to rest in the median.
Firefighters worked to extricate the man from his vehicle. He was transported to University Hospital in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
