Man dies following DWI crash on US 281

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KSAT, a man died in a fatal collision caused by an impaired driver on US 281 Sunday.

A Chevrolet Silverado driver was speeding when they lost control of their vehicle and crashed into multiple medians before rolling over into a construction zone.

Rescue crews pronounced a passenger in the Silverado, Carlos Joe Moreno, 24, dead at the scene of the accident. They transported the driver to an area hospital, where they were determined to be impaired.

Authorities will charge the driver with intoxication manslaughter.
